I am using the latest perfmon library(libpfm-3.2-061205) with kernel 2.6.19-1 ,patched with perfmon changes. While trying to run smpl_core_pebs.c , I get an error like "monitorings are supported only for intel core". Following is my cpu configuration, taken from /proc/cpuinfo:
processor : 0 vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 6 model : 14 model name : Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2050 @ 1.60GHz stepping : 8 cpu MHz : 800.000 cache size : 2048 KB physical id : 0 siblings : 2 core id : 0 cpu cores : 2 Is my core duo not supported by perfmon ? Pmu type that the perfmon gets is 36 whereas it seems that it only expects 34 (mapping this to the source code).
