now that we have several commiters to the perlfaq CVS tree,
what should we do about the copyright notice at the bottom
of the perlfaqs?
although i don't want to take credit away from whomever's
name is there, i also don't want them to get more credit
than is their due. i'm quite willing to give up all of
my rights to whatever i add so we don't fall into the
morass of a copyright notice for every line. :)
perhaps each answer could provide the name of the answerer. for
instance, i know that there is at least one answer in perlfaq2 that dha
has written completely:
"What is perl.com? Perl Mongers? pm.org? perl.org?"
and directly under that, in the next POD section it says,
Copyright (c) 1997-2001 Tom Christiansen and Nathan Torkington.
while an answer that i provided for perlfaq4 *is* attributed
to me, and the commify answer in perlfaq5 attributes at least
part of the answer to Andrew Johnson. so some places its
done and some places its not.
at least CVS shows who put what where and when, although
that's just who committed the answer rather than who wrote
it. :)
i suppose this will get stickier.
