There seem to be 2 separate entities that the FAQ is creating a
relation between.

entity one: The Perl Language and its attendant copyrights

and

entity two: Yet Another Society and its attendant copyrights

I'm a Perl Language user. and a CPAN user. Yet I have not joined Yet
Another Society am I am not sure what I would be gaining/giving up by
doing so.

I find it odd that Stas Bekman found his sponsorship to do full-time
mod_perl development with Ticketmaster.com without YAS, but Damian
Conway found his sponsorship through it.

Also, how does the Perl.org series of sites relate to entities one
and two above? And if we really want to get complicated, we can add

enity three: O'Reilly and www.Perl.com as another society with its
set of copyrights as well....

and of course, while we are at it. we have the now defunct entity
four: The Perl Institute.
