IIRC RedHat Enterprise Linux 3 ships with OpenLDAP tools that cannot perform correct DIGEST-MD5 auth. I can't remember if the fix is to upgrade the openldap tools, or sasl, or both :-( I'm pretty sure no RedHat update fixed it. Cheers, Chris
