It is good to see that someone has access to a system.

I don't think I saw any feedback for this question: If you all want to to
re-approach the party that was considering to make an environment available
for a couple of developers, they wanted to understand what would be
required:

      How many userids (1, 2)
Memory required on the z/OS image
Disk space required to support the perl source, build and testing
      activity
CPU requirements. i:e: Assuming there isn't an I/O bottleneck, the
build/test would consume how many processors for how long a period of
      time
Times of day the development activity would occur. (They need to
make sure resources are available for other commitments)

Ricardo,

I have access to a z/OS 1.11 test system that is isolated.

Definitely -- and what we need more than that is access to a test system.
Right now, we have one or two people who are offering to try and figure out
whether EBCDIC and MVS stuff is working at all, but so far nobody seems to
have
a machine where they can work to run tests, make changes, and so on.

So I am *elated* to hear that you have and are offering domain knowledge!
I
just don't know whether we have put it to use just yet. I hope to be able
to
harass you future on this topic in the future, though. :)
