No, there really isn't -- for the reasons I already described in this thread. I fully understand why people find it annoying. But it seems to work. Moreover, it seems to work with every operating system and version of Perl|CPAN|CPANPLUS|EU::MM|M::B|M::I that CPAN Testers have observed in the wild. -- David
