Of the ones you listed this is the only one I have any experience with. I'm the VP-Education of my club (Oracle Speakers, Redwood Shores CA), and am 60% of the way to my CTM. I heartily second your endorsement. > * NSA -- National Speakers Association I'm not a member but I know folks who are, and I'm considering getting involved in it. One of the Toastmasters clubs I go to as a frequent guest is oriented for professional speakers, many of whom are in the NSA. I'm thinking of joining that club as well... > * ASTD -- American Society for Training and Development I'm on their mailing list, and have been meaning to get around to going to their meetings. > * The Bob Pike Group > formerly CTTI (Creative Training Techniques International, Inc.) Never heard of this one, but it sounds good. Are they specific to the Seattle area? > * Mercer County Community College I've taught at De Anza College in Cupertino CA but haven't had any formalized training in teaching. Another good idea is to speak in front of a technical group such as the Linux User Group or Perl Mongers or whatever in your area. Assuming you have a topic that would be of interest, that is. --Bill. -- William R Ward [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.wards.net/~bill/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines." - Emerson
