Hi Justin ,

I have a program which uses MIME:Parser package to detach the
attachments coming through e-mail .
The attachment is detached perfectly but i am finding some
^M characters at the end of each line after detaching.
Are these characters coming originally in the attachment or are they
coming after the parsing is done.
I want to get rid of these characters from the detached file.

Thanks,

Just what exactly is your Perl question?

Is it how can Perl get rid of ^M characters?

Just how exactly are the files detached (sic)?

Normally ^M characters arise from FTP'ing ASCII files in binary mode, are
you doing this?

Hi all ,

I have a problem after detaching a attachment from a e-mail ,
I am able to see that the detached attachment contains ^M
characters appended to each line.
Can anyone tell me how do i get rid of the ^M characters
in the file detached from a e-mail.

Thanks,
Nagesh.
