Seeing as how I'm Mr. Wines, I will point out that I
was trying to show others a little respect by keeping my
opinions out of a Perl mailing list. Mr. Pollack chose to post my
private E-mail to the list because he was not willing to show a little respect
to me or the list. I had no choice in the matter. If you can show me
how his posting my message helped the Tristate, or anyplace else, I'll
be duly chastized.
Otherwise, if anybody has nothing better to do than argue with
me about what I said, then I'll take on all comers. Just "Cc:" your
friends and keep it out of the mailing list. This will be my only
reply to the list on this subject.

are upset and angry and this kind of nasty tone is uncalled for. What
Scott Adams described as a "Technology Prima Donna", here....And yes
I'm full on with my life and work as well, whereas a lot of people here
in the Tristate cannot.

That was the whole point of the exercise. Everything is
supposed to come to a stop, we're all supposed to piss in
our pants, and be unable to do anything, cowards and weaklings that we
are.
Me? I refuse to play. If all this wailing and
gnashing of teeth would bring even one of those people back, or bring any
comfort to their families, I'd be out there wailing and teeth gnashing with
the best of them. But it won't help. Therefore,
I intend to continue to live my life to the fullest until something puts an
end to it, and I'm not going to give some fanatic the satisfaction of
changing that.
I've got a life to live and a job to do, and I intend to
get on with both. You make your own choice, and don't bother me with
it.
