because I'm going to log all this + other info into a database, and psinfo doesn't give it to me in the format I want (and yes I know I could use a regex to just grab what I want) + I can get more fine grained info, get the date of install and what the weather was like on the day. And its my wheel and I don't care if people say you cant use a square wheel, I want one, I'll invent it :-)
