Well, IMHO, there are quite a lot of issues brought up here which are
dealt with differently in Window$ and in *x systems, and I'd rather not
have to dredge through questions for *x systems. There is a newsgroup,
clpm, which we're all familiar with, and, if AS wanted to, they could
start up lists for the other operating systems which they support Perl
on (for all I know, they may be doing that as I type). I would like to
see this remain a Window$ list to retain its efficiency, but it's not my
list to manage.

Please, folks, if you want to (1) respond or (2) rebuke the sender of a
question which is off-topic for this (or any other of AS's) list, do it
privately. It then will not clutter up the list and will really take
less time because it does not have to go through the list queue.
