Title: RE: Controlling Windows selection Boxes

Someone sure took a long, hard look at the MS Scripting Host and found out what it's capable of...! The Scripting Host was the main (if not the sole) reason that the "ILOVEYOU" virus was able to massively infect the MS community last week. As you rightly say: "It includes the ability to interact with other programs".

You might want to look at the Microsoft Windows Script Host (which you can
get for free from the MS site, if you don't already have it.)  The intent is
that it will take the place of batch files.  It includes the ability to
interact with other programs.  The languages supported there are vb script
and java script.  ActiveState provides a product (last time I checked you
pay for it) which is supposed to be a perl script version of this.

I believe there is also a new module being written intended to 'test'
windows programs.  Since that involves interaction it might work for you as
well.  You will have to search CPAN as I can't remember the name.
