I'm not an expert here, but I think you might find the following helpful:
Win32::AdminMisc::GetFileInfo
You can get `Win32::AdminMisc' via PPM (at least for build 522). The
author has more information about this module here:
http://www.roth.net/adminmisc
The folks in `Perl-Win32-Admin' might be able to provide more advice.
