I've had mixed luck with ppm and certain versions of ActiveState perl on Windows. Haven't really had many issues w/ using dmake and installing the modules via make files and cpan though.
Lately though I'm preferring Strawberry perl, which pretty much works with cpan just like it would in an linux/unix environment. Jon G.
