You don't have the correct Rakudo Star tarball, as the version of Parrot
that it requires is r48152 (Parrot 2.6.0). The contents of the
rakudo/build/PARROT_REVISION file should be "48152 2.6.0" ... if it's
anything else, then you've downloaded something other than the designated
Star release tarball.
The sha1sum that I get for the tarball is:

ah thats it your quite right I downloaded both
rakudo-star-2010.07.tar.gz and rakudo-star-2010.07-0-gac1dc94.tar.gz from
github I also downloaded
jnthn-blizkost-e215f09.tar.gz as well looks like all I needed was
rakudo-star-2010.07.tar.gz and that seems to be working
