Now I am really confused. This directly contradicts the Threaded Perl RFC.
My instincts still tell me we need two perl core modules.
1) A complicated threaded server core designed for people who derive pleasure from
syntatic gymnastics ( or those who need a fat emitter ;)
2) And a tiny engine that runs like like the wind, can be regressively tested for any
critical (medical) distribution and shoehorns where only lisp
has previously been. I would hope to see this internally controlling the majority of
tiny receivers some day.
Keep in mind all that the competition all fails in one or more categories. Java is
too slow, python lags perl, C# will no doubt wind up in court...
So, there is absolutely no reason why perl6 cant be everything to everybody,
especially me and my recent obsession with big money.
