Agreed.  I don't even like SUV's.  I drive an MG Midget.

I just want the option to bolt on a small gas-turbine engine ;-)

Oh wait, RFC 88 is the SUV!  I know, and I take your point.  My
main goal for v2 is simplify the core mechanism as far as I can
while still allowing hooks for the kind of extensibility that can
be useful in some applications.  Due to previous commitments, I
estimate it will take me about two weeks.

After that we may find the core 88 is very close to 63, in which
case if Peter doesn't mind the hooks, I'd certainly like to
co-author a omnibus Exceptions RFC.
