        Unfortunately, ravel has two opposite meanings (according to
www.m-w.com):

1 a : to separate or undo the texture of : UNRAVEL 
  b :to undo the intricacies of : DISENTANGLE

2 : ENTANGLE, CONFUSE

        The word "ravel" is generally not used, either...you generally see
"unravel."  

        Maybe weave() and unweave(), to emphasize that they are go
together?
