Hmm.  Harks back to the colonial era: "I claim these brackets in the
name of Perl."  Hmm.  I guess the "We came in peace for all mankind"
approach only works when you're quite sure nobody else is gonna claim
it for themselves any time soon, which is much truer of the Moon than
of Unicode.  We hope.
