Don't be silly.  There's no reason we can't break that; it's not an
idiom anybody is counting on.  If you still want the behavior:

    for flatten(@foo Y @bar Y @baz) -> $quux, $xyzzy {...}

But your point about Y returning a list and therefore not being
for-specific is quite valid.
