If you search the PDL mailing lists: start from the sidebar at 
http://pdl.perl.org/
you should find some info on ppm locations for PGPLOT if I remember 
correctly.
As for TriD, if you are running on win32 with ActivePerl, I do not 
believe that
PDL-2.4.3 TriD will build correctly.  Work is underway to fix this which 
I hope
will make it into the PDL-2.4.4 release this Summer.  Otherwise, more 
specifics
and information will help you receive better help.
