Ah, but you see, you are wrong here. The quick start for new users was
*never* prominent. You just remember where it was. Please remember
that my inability to find documentation is what led to me getting
involved in PDL in the first place. It took me a while to find
PDL::Impatient, and *DAYS* to learn about PDL::Guide.

Starting with the old sidebar:

== Support ==

* Wiki
* Mailing Lists
* Documentation
* FAQ
...

The sidebar starts by directing the user to the Wiki, even though
that's actually a very poor resource for PDL. Then, after you've
wasted a lot of your time looking around the Wiki, you might come back
to the front page and notice the less prominent Documentation link. On
that page, you'll see things like this:

-----------%<---------------
If you want to read the docs now you can use the [online version]. The
HTML documentation is extensive, but rather poorly organised at
present. We are doing our best! Help is always welcome.
-----------%<---------------

And that link takes you to PDL::Index, ugh... Anyway, yes there is one
useful link in this page. It goes to PDL::Impatient. But it is by no
means prominent. But ok, after some frustration you find and read
PDL::Impatient. Then at that point you are stuck because you cannot
find any further guidance (like PDL::Guide) anywhere.
