That's the point of: http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-wouters-dane-openpgp-01 It allows the mail client, or MUA, or MTA, to encrypt a message during transport. Commenting on the draft in one of the IETF lists (openpgp, dane or here) would be useful to show support for this moving forward. A sendmail/postfix milter implementation is planned.
