MIDDLE EAST-SUMMIT: Jordanian Prime Minister opens summit with call for peace

Beirut, 27 Mar (EFE).- The Arab Summit in Beirut opened today, in the absence of a number of important regional leaders, with an address in which Jordanian Prime Minister Ali Abul Ragheb asked Israel to end its oppression of the Palestinian people and move towards peace in the Middle East.

The world's most distinguished personalities in this area will meet in Madrid from 5 to 12 April to analyse the ageing process from different perspectives.
