> That's also my question. Why? OK. Put your modesty in the garbage and tell us: is there anyone besides you and Behdad who have both knowledge of Persian orthography AND the required technical skills? A quick look at Iranian websites in Persian would indicate no knowledge of existence of ZWNJ or correct usage of "yeh". I usually see isolated yeh in the middle of words and final yeh with Arabic dots. No diacritics, of course. Maybe I just haven't seen the good quality sites. Are there ANY websites with sophisticated typesetting you can recommend? Apparently "heh+hamzeh" is the stumbling block in Persian. If you don't figure out how to technically make the positioning correct then we will have to stick with the ligature 06C0 and then we won't be able to call it a standard font. Who can figure this out?? I don't think any amount of $$$ will help here. We need dedicated lovers of Persian! (Of course if US were doing the kind of big business with Iran as it's doing with Arab oil-producing states, we'd not be having this conversation and SinaSoft/Borna would not have had to fill the need in the way they have.)
-Connie PS I think this is the best Persian site around--esthetically pleasing and useful and functional: www.persopedia.com (they are using Nimrooz font) _______________________________________________ PersianComputing mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.sharif.edu/mailman/listinfo/persiancomputing
