Please do contact SinaSoft. I just spoke with Microsoft. They did not buy
Nazanin. THey were linking of licensing it from Linotype but now that I
mentioned Sinasoft, they got scared away. Microsoft has no plans to make
their own Persian font.

Here's a nice quote from the guy at MS:
  Why doesn't the Persian community get the money together and get a font
  made? That is what the Syriac community did. They now have 21 fonts
  available for free for anyone to use with Windows Xp. Microsoft should
  not have to provide a font for everyone. Besides, Microsoft will license
  the font to a Windows user...which does not help a Linux or Mac user.
