That would be very nice to have an option on webpages (and elsewhere) to show/hide the short vowels. That's one of the problems with schemes like Eurofarsi mentioned earlier: once you put the short vowels, you commit yourself to one dialect but if you leave them out, you can maintain the universality of the Persian language. However, in some situations, it IS desirable to have them. And certainly for transliterated input or changing transliterated text to Perso-Arabic script, that would be a WONDERFUL feature. Already in Word, there is an option to make the diacritics a different color. I've seen that being made use of on Qur'an sites.
