Thank you for this hint. Where can I find the current version? I will test it and create a Debian package for Etch and Lenny (32/64)! I will not accept, that a great part of software like the peruser patch will not have success. I will use it for my services if I am able to setup correctly. In my opinion the peruser patch is currently the best available solution for apache performance and security combination.
