I'm not sure if it's a better or worse option than the one you have in the link, but I can speak to the "Aven Mighty Scope" being a pretty solid option in that price range. The one we have is 10x/200x (not sure on mega pixels). There is definitely a difference in image quality between the Mighty Scope and professional microscopes ($1,000+), but for basic/general stuff it's pretty good. Finding a good quality stand is also important.
