Hello Everyone,

It's getting near the end of the fiscal year, and I am thinking of supplies
that still need to be purchased. I have never purchased diatomaceous
earth, or used it, but am considering the possibility of incorporating it
into our IPM program. We do have some areas where silverfish have been
found in blunder traps.

>From what I have read, it is important to make sure you are getting the
"right kind of diatomaceous earth" if you are using it for pest
management. I am wondering if someone could give me a link for the right
kind, or tell me how to distinguish between various varieties when shopping
on line to make sure the correct type is ordered.

I would also be interested to hear any opinions from people regarding the
use of diatomaceous earth in museum environments for silverfish, and any
other pest it has shown to be affective against.

Do you just "sprinkle it in the cracks in the floor and/or along baseboard"?

What would be the hypothetical concerns for using it on the floor in a
storage space for prints and drawings?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Todd
