Can you have larger outdoor bait boxes instead of interior ones? Rodent bait
usually has that issue from the factory as they do not get the ingredients hot
enough or cold enough to kill pest. JTV

Hello,
Yesterday I discovered drugstore beetles (Stegobium paniceum) inside two rodent
bait stations.
There was a sticky trap nearby with beetles on and I just happened to check the
rodent station by chance (this is usually checked by an external rodent
provider).
After opening the rodent trap I saw the beetles had bore holes all through the
poison bait, I broke open the bait and could see happy little larvae inside!
The poison bait is Contrac All-Weather Blox, I’m unsure if this is used in
other countries or just here in New Zealand.
We have these bait stations throughout the whole museum and I’m now worried
that we are attracting drugstore beetles with our rodent prevention… any
thoughts appreciated!
