The soil can be frozen or heated. The duration of that treatment depends upon the starting temperature of the soil, the temperature of the truck or other device, and the mass and size of the load. It could take a lot more (or less) time to reach the critical temperature. I’d suggest you install a thermocouple and monitor the inside of the soil mass.
You might be able to purchase soil that was ‘cooked’ and in bags. Check with a local nursery supplier to inquire. Richard J.
