Yes, cockroaches are prominent denizens of the waste plumbing systems. But, those tend to be ‘American’ and ‘Oriental’ cockroaches. The ‘German’ cockroaches are mostly associated with far less humid and fouled environments, though they invariably foul whatever they encounter.
