Hello all,

We're working to establish the extent of an ongoing issue with powderpost
beetles and have some discarded wood on site that we believe to be infested
we need to dispose of.

Are there are specific procedures to follow for disposal? We don't want to
make our problem someone else's problem :S

Also, does anyone have any experience with the treatment of a large
historic structure infested with powderpost beetles and care to share their
experiences of what did and didn't work? We'll be moving into the treatment
phase in the relatively near future, and I'd love to compare the advice of
the pest management folks being consulted against advice from people in the
field. I'm not confident in the expertise of the folks that have been
engaged for this project in a heritage setting, and what to keep the
building from being unduly damaged during treatment, if it can be avoided
safely.

Thanks very much!!
