Hi all! I wanted to send along an update! Thank you, everyone, for all your responses! I so appreciate it! We ended up sending the specimen to an entomologist at the NC State laboratory here in Raleigh, and it was noted to be a late instar nymph, most likely a minute pirate bug (Anthocoridae), and NOT a bedbug!
