This is a varied carpet beetle larva for several reasons: 1) The tuft of hairs at the end… three distinct brush-like tail tufts (“fascicles”) that protrude backward.classic varied carpet beetle
2) Varied carpet beetle larvae are carrot-shaped or tear-shaped, tapering toward the head. 3) The image shows alternating light/dark banding along the body—a classic Varied Carpet Beetle pattern.
