I think that's an Assassin Bug, Jill. They aren't museum pests, but their bite does hurt like a bee sting so more of a health and safety issue than a problem for the collection.

Hello All, I have been getting reports of multiples of this pest showing up in a gallery which has a large amount of wheat as part of the exhibition (which was frozen to -30 degrees celcius for 2 weeks before install). Any help with identification would be most appreciated. Scale is in mm. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Regards?
