This morning when I came into work, we had this flying around the museum store I have as yet been unable to capture it. Our store is an industrial building and it is now sitting high up on one of the outside walls. I am located in Wakefield in West Yorkshire - at first because of the red wings I thought it might be a butterfly but it is small for a butterfly.
I could not get a photo of it flying around Mary J Mary Macqueen ACR Museums & Heritage Officer: Conservation & Collections Wakefield Council Sport & Culture WMDC Central Museum Store Milner Way OSSETT WF5 9JE [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> phone01924 262717 mobile 07534714681 For further Information please visit: www.experiencewakefield.co.uk<http://www.experiencewakefield.co.uk/> www.wakefield.gov.uk<http://www.wakefield.gov.uk/> From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: 25 June 2012 18:54 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [pestlist] Help with identification This is a message from the Museumpests List. I don't recall ever seeing them before, but this June they are out in abundance. They are just under a centimeter in length and are yellow-green in color [please see attached photograph]. I'm new to IPM and have checked all of my resources without coming up with an identification. Could they be fungus gnats? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Kate Hughes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To send an email to the list, send your msg to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> To unsubscribe from this list send an email to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> and in the subject put: "unsubscribe" - no quotes please.
