Hi All

Can anyone tell me the commandline entry that allows me to specify the port number of the target machine.

I want to remotely access the firewall (running smoothwall) on our lan for admin purposes but it uses a port number different to the normal 22 for security reasons.

I have tried for example:

#ssh -D <port-nu8mber> <ip-address>

which is what the man pages suggest but I get a connection refused error which suggests that it is still trying to go in on port 22.

Do I perhaps have to specify the outgoing port on my box as well as the target boxes port?

Any suggestions?

Stu
