Need some help here. I've downloaded the latest Gentoo install & Live
DVD. After the last meeting, I've decided to install Gentoo on my
computer. Since I have a 120GB drive with nothing but Linux and another
80GB drive with Windows on it, it should hopefully be a piece of cake -
I hope.

What I want to do i backup my key data on my Windows partition and wipe
it. Afterwards, I want to wipe my current Linux system and then install
Gentoo (with KDE and Amarok and Xine etc, etc, etc). The specs for my
system is:

AMD Sempron 2600
512MB RAM
Abit Motherboard
GeForce 6200 AGP Video Card
SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Value Sound Card
120GB SATA HDD
80GB IDE HDD

As I'm not bothered about losing Windows, is it best to install via the
LiveDVD? Also, bearing in mind that this is my first Gentoo install
(sort of), I need as much help here as possible. Once the system is
finished, what I want to do is use this system at a future meeting
(maybe next month??) and test out some Windows Games using Cedega on the
Gentoo install (hopefully, this should give me the extra performance as
well).

Currently, I'm trying to get as much info from the Gentoo website as
possible but if anyone could help me with the install I would be greatful.

Thanks

Ben
