I've not found it anywhere - I can't find the device itself even on the
Dynamode website!

It's a USB device and not listed in lspci.

"lsusb" gives me a device ID of 1286:1fab, and "lsusb -v -d1286:" gives me
    Device Descriptor:
      bLength 18
      bDescriptorType 1
      bcdUSB 2.00
bDeviceClass 0 (Defined at Interface level)
      bDeviceSubClass 0
      bDeviceProtocol 0
      bMaxPacketSize0 64
      idVendor 0x1286
      idProduct 0x1fab
      bcdDevice 0.01

iProduct 2 MARVELL Wireless Device V1.0.1.0
      iSerial 0
      bNumConfigurations 1

Not sure what to expect, but "iwlist wlan0 scan #" gives me:

    [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# iwlist wlan0 scan #
    wlan0 No scan results
    [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# iwlist wlan0 scan #
    wlan0 Scan completed :

Note that about 3/4 of the time I get the "no scan results" response.

I'm pretty sure the wlan is using wep not wpa (I didn't set it up).
Neither wpa_supplicant or waproamd is running (I'd never heard of them
until now!)

The lack of info under Windows is one reason why I avoid wireless in
most cases (since that's where I'd have to configure it most often).
