Sorry for the delay is responding Mark, but I've been really busy this
past week.

Where to start...hmm. How about with a success.

I managed to connect wirelessly with easy and I also remembered to
bring a couple of multi-way adapters to share the power supply with
everyone.

Now for the downside, I was the only one to get wireless working and
by the time we remembered that I had brought my wifi router and could
attempt to set it up as a bridge it was time to go home. :(

I think the general feelings were that we need more time, either by
starting earlier of finishing later. Or indeed both.

I brought quite a bit of stuff with me (in the hope of palming it of
on other members), but only managed to get rid of a pcmcia wifi card.
On the plus side I have agreed to lend a book to another member called
Stuart (not me or Stuart Bird...sorry can't remember your surname
Stuart), that I found to be a real help when I first installed Linux,
admittedly it is a bit simple in parts and obviously it was out of
date the day it was printed but hopefully it will still prove useful.

Stuart Bird pointed me in the direction of a website I was unaware of
http://howtoforge.com/ that looks very useful and should probably be
put on the Plug website as a useful link.

I have to let you know that no-one discussed the article on the
website you posted a link to...sorry everyone was trying to get wifi
working and I get easily distracted. Perhaps this can be picked up at
the next meeting 27th March 2007.

Finally to end on two more positive notes (at least for me). Tony
managed to get my gamepad working so I can play Super Tux without
using the keys and he also said that next meeting he will attempt to
get my HP iPAQ 2210 syncing with my laptop :D

In conclusion, considering that there was only 5 of us there and it
was a new location I think the Peterborough Rugby Club shows real
promise as a meeting place, but suffers from a lack of wired access
(hopefully this can be sorted out next time if we can just get the
belkin wireless router set up), and it would be great if the was a
secure area that we could use to store bulky items (the 17" crt
monitor I brought with me stayed in the boot).

This is all just my opinion and of course others views are equally
(actually probably more) valid.

Cheers

Stuart Lonnen
