Cedega is available for free I believe from their CVS. I pay though as I feel without people like them there would be far fewer games available and to make Linux a definite viable alternative that will appeal to the 'general masses' then gaming support is required.
Transgaming are the company that make Cedega and the purchase option is available through their website. I have been meaning to come to some lug meetings but each time IBM have thwarted my plans. As for bringing my machine......I don't think there would be a problem with that although there's not much to see. The BF games when running look the same as they do on windows there just no sound atm and the connection/ping is normally better in my experiance. AWESOME!!! I am a big fan of BF2 and currently still dual boot to windows just for this game (and a bit of video editting). Do you come to LUG meetings? If you can make it would you bring your PC - I would love to see Cedega / BF2 (+ any other games you'd like to showcase) in action on linux! Regards Richard PS How did you pay for Cedega? Is it also availiable for free (ie with no support)?
