You are correct in that you can go to their cvs site and download the
source.  However, there are some bits left out (mainly their copyrighted
bits) which is where the full blown program comes in.  I used to pay for
the software up until about two months ago (as I wasn't playing many
games on linux there wasn't a need).  However, since the new release of
their software, I would like to see how it is now.

As for bringing your machine, please do.  Watching this under linux
would be good.
