Mark Cedega is geared to the games market and not the applications such as IE. However, Cross Over Office is the updated Wine application geared towards applications such as IE, iTunes, MS Office, etc, etc, etc. CO Office is a purchasable product.

If you did, you'll have noticed that it did install and run OK once I installed IE6 (using IEs4Lin), which was quite impressive. However the screen update was "screwy" (technical term). In particular fonts weren't rendering properly. By this point, if you're still reading and your name is Ed you'll be expectantly waiting for the solution I found this morning.... Unfortunately, this is just an update to say that I tried disabling Beryl (that made no difference), and I tried a few different fonts (occurred to me that Wine/PP11 would default to some Windows fonts I haven't got), and that made no difference either. I would be interested to know if it works for anyone with Cedega (which I naively just think of as a newer version of Wine). Aside from this, Wine is fantastic, and I don't just mean the stuff in bottles. -- Mark Rogers // More Solutions Ltd (Peterborough Office) // 0845 45 89 555 Registered in England (0456 0902) at 13 Clarke Rd, Milton Keynes, MK1 1LG _______________________________________________ Peterboro mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/peterboro _______________________________________________ Peterboro mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/peterboro
