Richard Try downloading the software from VMWare - the Binary (.tar.gz). Extract the package, go into the VMWare directory and then run the install to remove it (I think this is how it's done). Let me know how you get on. Regards, Ben Hayes Senior IT Support Analyst Ideal Shopping Direct Plc (DDI) 08700 780 870 Registered Office: Ideal Home House, Newark Road, Peterborough, PE1 5WG, UK. Kind regards Gosse 2007/10/10, Eron Smith <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: I have used Automatix2 to install VMWARE Server on my computer (Ubuntu Feisty) and a newer version of the VMWare Server was released. I used Automatix2 to uninstall VMWare Server but when I try to reinstall it I keep getting a message that suggests there is already a version of VMWare Server installed which needs to be removed. How do I sort that out?
