I am hoping that there is a meeting on 30th Oct - I hope to be there as
well!
May I make a suggestion as to topics of discussion:
I now now use my Ubuntu machine for perhaps 70% of my work! I also
spend a lot of time "fixing" windows machines - deleting temporary files
and folders / cleaning registry / defragging etc.
1. What maintenance do we need to do on a Linux machine?
e.g. What to do with
/home/edward/.thumbnails
/home/edward/.nautilus
Are there other caches etc that need cleaning out occasionally?
What else do we need to do to keep it running smoothly - I know there
is no defrag!
2. I have upgraded to Ubuntu 7.10
How to get 3D back etc! (Unimportnat but fun!!)
What else can we do with the new Compiz
I may have solved this by then - but it might be fun to look at anyway
BTW Mark - did you sort your Editor issue. I cam accross Aptana the
other day - http://www.aptana.com/ I used it for a bit on Windows. Not
what I needed, but thought you might be interested!
