That's a fair approach, but it's worth noting that this is one reason why there are 6-monthly updates with Ubuntu, rather than 6-yearly with something like Windows. Windows????? As I mentioned before, there are some nice incremental improvements but nothing major, so generally speaking each upgrade should be relatively painless. Waiting a few weeks still means that any problems are likely solved though (either with updates, or with threads in forums telling you how to work around the problem). Oke maybe i'am a little bit angry about the problems i have seen on the internet and here in past mails. There one problem left i have no Pub to go when something goes wrong ;-) I think i can give it a start this weekend! If there are problems or not let you all now. It's also worth noting that the software in the distribution isn't generally unique to Ubuntu, so a lot of it is already well tested in other distros. -- Mark Rogers // More Solutions Ltd (Peterborough Office) // 0845 45 89 555 Registered in England (0456 0902) at 13 Clarke Rd, Milton Keynes, MK1 1LG _______________________________________________ Peterboro mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/peterboro -- It's not the lofty sails but the unseen wind that move's the ship _______________________________________________ Peterboro mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/peterboro -- ***** Richard Forth "I used to be indecisive, but now, I''m not so sure!" *****
