Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows equivalent versions of the good old dos
UNDELETE command on linux.

To cut a long story short, I’ve been having the server admin day from hell,
My server host did some routine maintenance last night, My server didn’t
shut down cleanly.. The network card wouldn’t come back, <snip> I
reinstalled the OS using their ‘rescue’ system but desperately need to get
to files that were there on the server before the OS reinstall...

I don’t know if this is possible but if anyone thinks it might be please let
me know.. I had a /backups directory which i’d chew my arm off to be able
to restore....

Rgds

Dave
