Richard, I also subscribe to LXF & have done for some time. If you want to get your hands on some of the older copies let me know (I also have the corresponding 'Cover-Discs' ) if you are interested in them too!.
There are times when we owe it to ourselves and to the ones around us to share what we know and feel. And there are times when we simply have nothing to offer, and best serve everyone by saying nothing. Perhaps the wisdom comes in being able to recognize the difference. I was just wondering what if anything, anyone else subscribes to in this arena? I like LXF, I have been buying the odd copy for a couple of months now and their articles are really down to earth and theres usually some simple projects to try out and lots of cool stuff on the DVD. I'm not advertising the magazine by the way, but I always imagined LINUX magazines to be stereotypically full of C++ code and the odd joke that only the elitest programmer would find funny, however I have been standing in the isles at Tesco flicking through the Linux Mags to see what old Linus is up to, and to be honest I am really enjoying it actually, I settled on LXF because it seems to target all types of users especially beginners and the "fair to middling" users, and I hope that by subscribing to a magazine on the subject it will give me that extra kick to try out new Open Source things in between LUGS, and get the most out of my Linux box. So what does everyone else subscribe to? And when is the next meeting? -- ***** Richard Forth "I used to be indecisive, but now, I''m not so sure!" *****
